The North America Nebula Region
NGC7000 IC5070
The
North America Nebula is an emission nebula in the constellation
Cygnus. Its' remarkable shape resembles North America complete
with Gulf of Mexico.
This a very large nebula but
has a very low surface brightness and can
be difficult to see. Binoculars will show a foggy patch near the
star Deneb.
Next to it is the Pelican
Nebula.
