Hey Renee, Avril had a good night in her new home - we didn't hear a peep from her. She is peeing well, although we are still waiting for her first poop ( I know she hasn't eaten much in the last few days) and loves her walks. We have decided her new name will be Ruby...short and sweet. She will see the groomer tomorrow to get rid of those nasty mats and the vet in early May. Sophie the cat, to the surprise of everyone in the house, has taken to Ruby. None of us imagined that. We thought she might disappear for a couple of days at least, but no. Regards, Nadine

Your blog brought tears to mine! I just read it and when you talk about what these animals go through I can't help but feel for them. It's so heartwarming when someone comes to adopt. I was so glad to see Miley going to a home that will love her dearly. Tonight has been a lot better for Biju. We're getting her walking - she doesn't like it but I keep telling her those things at the bottom of her legs are not just for looking at! :) We just took her out a few minutes ago and when we got back in she immediately jumped up on the couch and cuddled down (after licking all that wet stuff off her collie feet). She's a little better today but still shy. She'll come around ... I can't stop hugging her. Lorraine
