Hi Renee, Wow your news is awesome, if you need any volunteers to help out with the rabies clinic, let me know. Lorie

Good for you! I think this is a fabulous thing, very needed given that we have had rabies ion this area again this summer and someone got bit. If a vet has a problem with it, then they are just thinking about $$$ and not the animal’s welfare. Most who use a rabies clinic rather than going to the vet would probably not get this shot at all, so it really is about the public good. Every city I have ever lived in, except this one, the veterinary community is much more supportive of the shelters and the work that is done there. Rabies clinics, altering coupons, etc. are regularly part of their operations. The clinics here are just financially mean, don’t let them get you down or dissuade you from doing what you KNOW needs to be done. Good work! You are doing a great job, just what a shelter manager should! Stephanie M.

Congrats on your rabies clinic. I think that is absolutely amazing. I have a strong suspicion that your shelter will be the example for all! Great work Renee!!! Joy
