I agree, Hobo would be a great name for the lil guy! Another creature very luck to make it's way to OSAS! Martha S.

Thank goodness!!!

I am so happy to hear that the little guy is ok. I actually was the one who brought up little Hobo to the shelter. Let me tell you my official story in detail though as I do enjoy telling it!!

Saturday morning I came into my work (The Business Enterprise Centre) just to pick up a water bottle I had left (and I must say, I have worked here for over a year and have never come in on a weekend…ever) and there was a box sitting on my desk. I read the note for us and found the shy little guy hiding in the corner of the box obviously very scared. I was very concerned b/c he had no food or water in the box and I knew that he could not survive until Monday when I normally would be coming in for work. (I really believe that I was meant to come into work that morning to give that little guy a second chance. Thank goodness! It would have been awful to come in and had him not have survived the weekend.) I called around to a few different pet stores with questions of what I should do with not much luck until I decided to bring him up to your fabulous shelter. With the help of a friend (I was a little worried about him getting out of the box in my car) we brought him up and were thankful it was so easy to deal with your staff and I very much felt like I was leaving him in reliable hands.

So I’m very glad to see that he’s on your blog and will hopefully find a loving home!  By the way, no need to post this or anything, I am very happy with being the silent saver! I really just wanted to share my story with you b/c I read your blog everyday and this day, it involved me!!

My family got our border collie/black lab as a puppy from your shelter about 12 ˝ years ago. His name is Hector and he is the most fabulous dog I have ever met! He is still kicking (with a few health worries unfortunately) but still to this day acts like the same puppy we picked up that day! I’m looking forward to being in a place when I can come back and adopt another fabulous dog. So until then…..Thanks for all that you do!!!! Rebecca F.
