Hi Renee, Thanks so much for the latest blog - though I know that most people (that I know anyway) will go to great lengths to honour and protect BOTH domestic and wild critterfolk. But when it comes to cats, many folks still practise the habit of allowing their feline friends to "roam free" out of doors (arguing with the out-dated beliefs that cats MUST roam 'free', it's in their nature). Without the area being properly fenced or otherwise secured to keep the cat in, and the wild folk out, the two can - and all too often will - eventually clash. This can mean a severely torn-up family cat (costing many $$ at the vet, or worse - the cat doesn't make it to the vet), and a vigilante posse out on the "wild animal" that was simply roaming for food, but got caught up with a territorial cat.  And this is where many problems start....groan.... As a 'they-find-me-anyway' rescuer, it's tough when a dog comes along - but tougher still when it's a cat who happens by and eludes a capture to safety at every turn. So again, thanks for this blog and bringing it to everyone's attention!

Also - any chance that You Guys can get the Animal Control contract for Sauble Beach as well? I do hope so! Rock on OSAS! ~ Em
