I totally relate to how you felt when Care Bear took his first bowl of food by himself - a year ago one of my boys was diagnoised with Hepatic Lipidosis and stopped eating. It took a month of TLC, force feeding and icky meds he did not like, but he made it (which we later found out doesn't happen often) and is now healthier than ever. The best day was when he stuck his tongue out and into the container of yogurt (his favorite treat) by himself ... which was the start of his eating on his own again and of course ...
