Debut CD currently under production with producer Fred Lavery of Lakewind Sound.
Fifteen-year-old Chrissy lives in the Margaree area of Cape Breton Island. It is a place of breath-taking beauty reminiscent of the Scottish lands from where many of the early settlers of Nova Scotia had emigrated. The people of Margaree cherish their special culture especially their musical heritage.
The music of the ceilidh resonates in the majestic mountains and peaceful valleys, incorporating not only the tunes of the Scottish Gaels but also those of the area's Irish and French-Acadians. Christine Crowley is one of Cape Breton's new generation of fiddlers who, inspired by the traditions of those artists who have gone before, have embraced the music and made it their own.
