| BGOGS usually meets the fourth Tuesday of every month except during winter months when our meetings are held on the 4th Saturday of the month, in the afternoon. Each month, meetings are held in a different location throughout Grey or Bruce County. Everyone is welcome to our meetings. You do not have to be a member of BGOGS to attend. |

Their collection includes over 2.4 million rolls of microfilmed genealogical records; 727,000 microfiche, serials, and other formats; 4,500 periodicals; and 3,725 electronic resoures. The Library has 142,000 square feet on 5 floors for patron research with:

Family Research Center: Located at Joseph Smith Memorial Building, Monday-Friday, 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, Sunday closed. FamilySearch software on 100 individual computers with access to the internet for family history research. Staff available free of charge.
Optional Activities : (no charge): Organ recitals, Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehersal (Thursday) and live broadcast (Sunday); Youth Symphony; area museums; classes at Family History Library; tours of historic sites; Temple Square, and Conference Center, including roof gardens, free public transportation in downtown area.
Optional Activities: (extra charge: Day/evening horse and buggy ride tours of Salt Lake City, Bus tours of Salt Lake City and Great Salt Lake along with other area sites: Kennecott Copper Mine; day trip to Casino (via bus); individual consultation with profession researcher at Family History Library; restaurant/shopping at Gateway Plaza and other locations - walk/free Trax ride.

Kathleen LaBudie Szakall has spent over 30 years researching her Polish ancestors; lectured for over 25 years on various Polish and Ontario resources; over 25 years Officer and / or Director of the Polish Genealogical Society; Michigan. More than 15 years as Branch Officer of BGOS; 15 years as volunteer at the Owen Sound Family History Centre and along with Jan Zeleski developed an on-line genealogy course & companion textbook, "Finding Your Polish Ancestors."
Rick Roberts' family history addiction began during summer vacations on his grandparent's farm. Rainy days were filled by sorting through family pictures, documents and artifacts while listening to his grandmother's well-worn family stories. His hobby evolved into a business when he co-founded Global Genealogy with his wife Sandra in 1992. Their genealogy supply business launced an online store three years later, soon followed by an online magazine. Rick began publishing history, vital records, and genealogy how-to books in 1997 under the Global Heritage Press imprint, adding the MacDonald Research imprint in 2007.
